Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has urged promising striker Marc Guiu to wait patiently for his chance after impressing in Europe.

The 18-year-old netted a hat-trick in Thursday’s 5-1 home win over Shamrock Rovers in the Europa Conference League to take his tally to six in the competition and finish as the competition’s top scorer.

In the past, he has not had many opportunities to play in the Premier League. Which has led to rumors of him leaving the team. Maresca has asked Guiu to work in the right direction and wait patiently for his chance.

“With Marc, the problem is sometimes we forget about his age. He is the same age as Joshua Acheampong and Tai (George),” Maresca said.

“He’s scored five, six goals in this competition (Conference League) and he knows he’s got Nicolas (Jackson). He’s got Christo (Nkunku), it’s not easy for him.”

“But the important thing is that he has to continue working in the right direction.”

“With Marc, it’s about understanding UFABET the position and understanding the game. In the previous games when he was playing attacking midfielder or winger he was also doing very well. All of the players are starting to understand where they have to be to receive the ball.”

Things are looking good for the Blues. And they have a favourable run of fixtures in all competitions, starting with Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.
